Friends,
On this week of Juneteenth, one of our youth whom we have been accompanying for 3 years in juvenile detention was released a year early! He asked Voices of Jubilee to be there on his liberation day, and we were there to usher him home! These liberation days fill us with hope that will carry us back to the detention center to fight for more visits when the system wants to shut us out. This hope will carry us back to court to support youth and their families who will face a system that only wants to punish youth instead of offering healing for the trauma they carry. The hope carries us forward to build a bigger movement of love, justice, and liberation in our world. We hope you will read our latest newsletter for more stories of our hope-building and join us by Becoming a Volunteer or by Donating.
With peace,
Lauren Ramseur
Co-Pastor, Voices of Jubilee
